Switchboard Operator: Full-time or Part-time

    Full-time: MA - Medical Assistant  | East End

    Assist in the operation of the medical services during assigned clinic sessions. Within the framework of the organization’s philosophy and objectives and under the direction of the nurse manager, the Medical Assistant assists the nursing team in performing routine nursing duties associated with caring for the ambulatory patient.

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant Training program
  • Requirements: Requires excellent interpersonal, telephone, and communication skills. Be able to work on other units and at other health centers throughout the Primary Care Health Services network


    Part-time: RN-Registered Nurse | East End

    [New Position: 12/05/17]

    Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of professional Nursing, Candidate must have current license to Practice Nursing within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

    Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. Requires working under stressful conditions and/or working irregular hours.

    Responsibilities:
    Directs and coordinates team activity toward patient centered care. Supervises, assigns and coordinates activities of nursing personnel and medical assistant in the designated health center (satellite) to ensure patient needs and quality of care are met in accordance with instruction of physician administrative policies and procedures. Plans and Coordinated for patient care in conjunctions with various services to meet the patients needs.


    Physicians

    Incumbent functions under the general supervision of the Health Services Director

    Requirements : Graduation from an accredited school of medicine. Licensed to practice in the State of Pennsylvania. Board Certified or board eligible. Internship and Residency in Medicine. 

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering and coordinating the delivery of health care to the medically undeserved population who access our system for care.
  • Incumbent conducts thorough examination of patients to determine health problems and develop a diagnosis. Prescribes and administers appropriate medications.
  • Incumbent develops treatment plans in accordance with established medical and health center protocols. Document in the electronic records patients and family histories, treatments, etc.
  • Provides health education to center patients and community organizations relative to disease prevention activities and methods
  • Incumbent refers patients for hospitalization. Conducts regular hospital rounds to administer care and monitor patient progress. Rotates with other center physicians to provide after hour and emergency coverage as outlined in the center's established policies. Work with hospitalist with community care and follow-up.
  • Assists in the development of policies, procedures and protocols as required by center's granting agency, and is required to meet the center's standard for physician productivity on an ongoing basis.
  • Orders laboratory studies, diagnostic procedures and informs the patient of the necessity for such studies and procedures.
  • Participates as a member on the center's quality assurance program. Reviews medical records to ensure appropriateness of patient care and that pertinent documentation is annotated or incorporated in the EMR medical record in order to accurately maintain the mechanism for continuity of care.
  • Insure that medical staff provides the necessary service support and routine patient follow-up and misses appointments.

  • Office Manager | East End

    Reports to Medical Administrator

    Responsibilities
    Supervise administrative staff and all day-to-day office functions, including front desk, accounting insurance processing, appointment setting, procedure scheduling, medical records and more. Maintain a smooth, efficient flow of administrative operations, ensuring that patients are served as efficiently and effectively as possible. Recruit, screen, and hire and train administrative employees. Ensure patients inquiries and complaints are handled in an appropriate timely and satisfactory manner.

    Knowledge, Education, Skills and Abilities:

  • Medical Assistant Preferred
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Three or more year's previous medical office administrative experience.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet program and ability knowledge of ICD-10 codes and billing procedures.

    Physical Demands:

  • Visual acuity
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by telephone.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk throughout shift as needed to oversee operations.

  • Dentist

    Reports to Dental Director and supervises Dental Assistants, and Dental Hygienist

    Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of dentistry with either a D.M.D or D.D.S degree.
  • Censed to practice within Pennsylvania, with experience in private practice.
  • Must be registered with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to allow dispensing controlled substances.
  • Physical Demands:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients.
  • Manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision, hearing and speech to normal range.
  • Responsibilities Diagnoses and treats diseases injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums, and related oral structures. Examines patient to determine nature OD condition, utilizing x-rays, mouth mirrors, explorers, and other diagnostic procedures and instruments. Cleans, fills extracts, and replaces teeth using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances medications, and surgical implements. Demonstrates proficiency in examination, diagnosis, and treatment, of oral pathological in examination.


    Pharmacy Technician

    The purpose of the pharmacy technician is to assist the pharmacist with the day-to-day activities in the pharmacy.

    Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE National certification (CPHT)
  • Understanding of medical terminology and calculations
  • Knowledge of medication brand & generic names
  • Knowledge of insurance and third-party payment systems
  • High School diploma or graduate equivalent degree
  • Responsibilities:

  • Help patients who are dropping off or picking up prescription orders
  • Enter prescription orders into the computer
  • Create and update patient's health and insurance information in the computer
  • Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and company regulations
  • Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain payment for prescription claims
  • At point of sale, verify that customer receives correct prescription(s)
  • Prepare the pharmacy inventory

  • Nurse Managers

    The Nurse Manager is responsible to direct and coordinates team activity toward patient centered care. Supervises, assigns, and coordinates actvities of nursing and medical assistant personnel in the designated health center (satellite) to ensure patient needs and quality of care are met in accordance with instruction of physician administrative policies and procedures. This position supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants, Receptionist and Maintenance.

    Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Currently licensed to practice nursing within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Supervisory experience desirable
  • Requirements:

  • Ensures appearance, behavior, and communication promote good guest relations
  • Interacts with various departments, facilities and technical labs on a daily basis
  • Prepares, administers, and records medications and treatments as ordered by the physician under the supervision of the Nurse Manager

  • Dentist Assistants

    The Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting dentist(s) by engaging routinely procedures during examinations and treatment of patients. The Dental Assistant reports to Dental Director and Staff Dentist. This position performs technical supportive functions including preparing and dismissing patients; sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment; providing post-operative instructions prescribed by dentist(s). Assists dentist(s) in management of medical and dental emergencies. Demonstrates good guest relations, oral communication, and human relation skills when interacting with patients and their families. Provides oral hygiene instruction, such as conducing plaque control program.

    Qualifications: MUST BE Certified Radiologic Technician

    Requirements: Performs basic business office procedures, includes maintaining appointment control, answering telephone properly, reassuring patients, participates in departmental meetings, and professional development activities. Able to work within a multi-disciplinary team approach for the benefit of the organization.


    Meaningful Use and EMR Manager

    The Meaningful Use/EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Manager is an essential part of the medical and administrative operations to PCHS. This position involves coordination of activities related to the implementation of the Centers for Medicare ans Medicaid Services (CMS and State of PA) and State of PA EHR (Electronic Health Records) Incentive Payment Program for the entire organization. Essential EMR tasks include, ePrescribe management and Secure Messaging Management.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Services Administration or related field
  • Health Center experience
  • Experience using tracking and reporting systems
  • One-Two (1-2) years of experience in a health care delivery or profession setting
  • Requirements: Establish and maintain structured processes (including software programs and tools) to complete registration, attestation and payment information for each eligible provider. Meet with providers, managers, clinical staff to help achieve program goals. Work in collaboration with management to monitor Provider compliance and facilitate resolution of barriers of successful completion of attestations.


    Nurse Practitioners

    We are looking for a professional Nurse Practitioner who can deliver primary medical care to a wide variety of patients. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current patient records and scheduling and administering follow-up appointments to patients as required.

    Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner License
  • Requirements: Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for any patients with critical conditions, must be familiar with the EHR medical charting system.
